We aim to provide the best
possible veterinary and health care to our patients. We consider
pets to be family members and clients to be our guests.
Major emphasis is placed upon
preventative health care and nutrition.
We take a special interest in
behavioural problems.
Examinations and surgeries are by
appointment. We try to see our clients as close to their
appointment time as possible, but sometimes delays occur due to
emergencies. Thank you for understanding.
Please feel free to discuss fees
before services are rendered. Payment is due at the time of
service. Cash, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Interac
are accepted.
For everyone's comfort and
safety, please have your dog on a leash and your cat in a kennel
or suitable carrier. If your dog is very excitable in
the clinic or does not get along well with other animals, please
have your pet wait in the car while you report in with a
receptionist.
The doctors at WinRose examine all
species of animals and provide diagnostic, surgical, and therapeutic
procedures for your pet. The doctors at WinRose are among the most
experienced in preventative health care and the treatment of exotic
pets. They consult with each other on hospitalized and complex
cases.
Veterinary Assistants at WinRose are
experienced in pet animal management, behaviour, nutrition, and dog
training. They will discuss these aspects with you as appropriate.
The team members assist with dentistry, in surgery, laboratory
tests, taking and developing radiographs, monitoring anaesthetics,
preparing prescriptions and administering treatments. Each of the
team members is a pet owner and all are concerned and involved with
the comfort and nursing of our patients.
The doctors and staff regularly
attend continuing education conferences and seminars and read
veterinary journals in order to keep informed about the latest
developments in animal health. We are particularly
concerned with patient comfort.
Our team members constantly keep the
cages and runs clean. We maintain a large supply of blankets and
towels (many thanks to those clients who donate
these!) and a wide variety of pet foods. Special needs
are met as required.
