Hello, I'm Hali a registered Animal Health Technologist with 7 years of experience working in small animal practices. My special interest in work is caring for critical patients in hospital. Knowing that the care I give them may have helped them get back to their families is a wonderful feeling. When I'm not at work, I'm spending my time with my young family. I have 2 children - a girl and a boy. In between work and my family, I still manage to find enough time to play soccer and broomball.
Hi, my name is Christie Golebiowski and I have been working as a Veterinary Assistant at WinRose Animal Hospital since February 2001. I graduated from Robertson College after taking an 8 month course and I could not wait to start working in the animal field. My first scary animal experience was the summer of 1991 when I was bitten in the arm by a Husky who had entered our yard. Strangely enough, I feel that is when my love for animals became stronger. The best part of working with animals is all the puppies and kittens I get to see, and helping to create the animal-human bond for many years to come. Nothing pleases me more than having a critically ill patient come into our clinic and leave in good spirits. I might not be the same day, but going home to their wonderful caring family is my reward. Presently, my family and I own 2 dogs, "Lady", our 2 year old Lhasa Apso and "Misty" our 4 1/2 year old Border Collie cross. Both dogs are extremely spoiled and very special to our family.
My name is Shannon Campbell and I am a Registered Animal Health Technologist. I have been working at WinRose Animal Hospital for the past 7 years. I graduated from the Red River Animal Health Technology program in June of 2004, and previously had attended the University of Manitoba and have a BSc. I currently have one cat at home named “Boots” and a beautiful Old English Sheep dog named “Sampson”, who lives in Calgary with my Mom and Dad. In my spare time I enjoy spending time at the gym and the pool, and I’m currently learning how to play the Scottish bagpipes. For the past seven years that I have been employed with WinRose Animal Hospital I have learned many new skills, worked with many new team members and have acquired quite a fondness for exotic animals. I look forward to seeing you and your pets.
Greetings and Salutations! My name is Heather Desjardins and I'm a veterinary technologist born and raised in Saskatoon , Saskatchewan. I started working at Winrose and Bestfiends Animal Hospitals in July'04. I really enjoy working with the exotic animals, especially the rodent/lagomorph families. This is my first professional job since graduating post-secondary in 2004. All of the staff here have really helped me to develop my skills as a tech, and I enjoy the variety of duties we have as tech's. I have my recently adopted rabbit "James" who is a black mini rex living with me, and I have joint custody of my guinea pig "Wicket" who is currently residing with my Fiancee in Saskatoon. It is very interesting how two provinces so close together can be so different! It has been interesting experiencing Winnipeg first hand and I have had a couple of opportunities to go down to the Forks which is definitely a treat. Some, but not all of my passions include: KARAOKE!, ballroom dancing, curling, and learning guitar. (ooh I need practice!) One day I'd like to have a band together and do some local stuff. Any offers? :')
