Tamara Major, Office Co-ordinator
Hi, my name is Tamara Major. I am the Office
Co-ordinator at WinRose. I joined the WinRose Team in the spring
of 2004 and I love it! Getting to know all the clients, helping
them with their furry and not so furry family members has been
fun and interesting. Always something new to learn!
I have a background in human medicine and business. This has been
an interesting blend of the two. I have 3 children and I have just
adopted little “Frankie”, a 4-5 year old terrier mix. He has been an
absolute pleasure – a great addition to my family!

Kerri Kirkpatrick
Hi,
I'm Kerri. I have been part of the team at WinRose since June of
2000. I was actually a client before I started so I knew what a
great place it was. I enjoy all the different varieties of animals
we see here on a day-to-day basis. The
best part is when a very ill animal comes in and goes home all better,
it is very gratifying for everyone here.
I
have 2 cats of my own, both of which were strays from WinRose.
They are "Sayer", a black grumpy (but loving) Persian and
"Bonk" a visually challenged Domestic Longhair with a
wonderful way of working his way around the house without 'bonking' into
anything (most of the time).

Jennifer Small
Hi
my name is Jennifer Small. I
am a recent graduate from the Robertson Career College’s Veterinary
Office Assistant program. Upon
completing my course, I joined the WinRose Team.
I grew up on a family farm and have always loved animals.
My first pet (that I acquired as soon as I moved out on my own)
is a hedgehog named “Sonic”. I
have also adopted a cat from WinRose, named “Sparkles” and
recently, "Diesel" both of which I adore.
My pets are very important family friends.

and I have recently graduated for the Veterinary Office Assistance
course
offered at Sturgeon Creek Colligate. I joined the WinRose Team in June
of 2004. I was born in Moncton, New Brunswick, and cannot remember
a time in my life when there was not an animal living with my family.
At
present we have a Sheltie named “Misty”, a cat called “Waffles”, a
hamster called “Runt” and fish. I could not imagine my life without
animals in
it.
I look forward to meeting all the fabulous WinRose clients that I
hear so much about, and getting to know their many family friends!
Cinda
Brown Hi!
My name is Cinda Brown and I am a graduate of the St. James Assiniboia
Veterinary Assistant program. Animals have always been a big part of
my life while I was growing up, with cage pets, a snake and several
dogs and cats usually underfoot. My own pets included my Arabian horses,
and an Irish Setter who was with me for 14 years. Now I have an 18
year old black cat named “Bear” who was rescued about 6 years ago,
and a 9 month old Calico named “Calleigh” whose mission is to make
sure Bear gets lots of exercise!
One of the most exciting things about working with WinRose and Best
Friends Animal Hospitals is the wide variety of pets that we see. I
look forward to getting to know you and your furry, scale-y, prickly
or feathered family!

Cheryl Vandal
Hi, my name is Cheryl Vandal
and I am the Hospital Manager at WinRose. I was born in and spent my
first 17 years of my life in Ottawa. My summers were spent in the country
near my Grandpa's 'hobby' farm - and this is where I fist fell in love
with animals. Upon completing high school I headed to the University
of Guelph where I completed my Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (Animal
Science). Upon graduation from Guelph, I took a job at a mixed animal
veterinary hospital in Central Ontario.
In 1986 I moved to Manitoba. I joined the WinRose team in 1988
when WinRose Animal Hospital opened. I have worked here
as Receptionist,
Veterinary Assistant and now as the Manager of the practice. Working
at WinRose has provided me the opportunity to meet and become friends
with many of our clients and their pets. I enjoy feeling like we
are making a difference in our client's and their pet's
life - we share
in their happiness and also do our best to help them through the
difficult times.
Outside of work I spend time with my husband and three girls
our two cats- "Sidney" (a silver tabby Maine Coon, a stray from WinRose)
and "Flo" (a torti-point Himalayan) and our two rough
collies “Harley” a harlequin blue merle, and “Ozzie” a tri-color.
We have the
dogs in obedience classes through Best Friends Animal Hospital
and we are starting to show them for obedience.
In the summer I like to solve the world's problems by spending
time in my garden.
